Moore Claims He Knows What Women Want and That God is Sending Gustav

Michael Moore feels there is a God in Heaven due to the fact hurricane Gustav is on it's way to New Orleans at the same time the Republican convention is starting. He side notes... and I do mean "side notes"... how he hopes no one gets hurt and is taking cover, but still chuckles about how the timing is appropriate in his view.

Moore points out (again... while chuckling) that he doesn't want to hear about Iran any more, or weapons of mass destruction {chuckle} or what they're building. He feels that if the Iranians invaded Canada and Mexico the way "we have invaded Afghanistan and Iraq" that he and Keith would be joining in to build what ever they could to defend themselves. I would like to point out that he did not say they would do everything they could to defend America... no... just to defend themselves.

Is this man a complete idiot? Doesn't he realize that we are trying to keep that very same thing from happening? If we allow terrorists to do what they want, when they want... you're damn straight they will invade Canada and Mexico... why not? If they get control of those two countries then what's stopping them from rushing in like the red sea on both sides and drown us and putting us into slavery?

I have never listened to Keith Ol'BerWeiner (err... Olbermann) and never knew how irritating this man truly is and how much of a journalist he truly isn't! In High School we learned to report the facts... not our over-the-top-elitist view points. This man is not a journalist or a reporter or a grand American... he is a man looking for followers to cheer him on and make him feel bigger than he ever will be. I watched in amazement that he gets paid for such hypocrisy.

Apparently since McCain did not defend Hillary Clinton with fists and strong words when someone called her a bitch, he believes all women are bitches. Honestly, how CAN he say that Hillary is not a bitch and still keep a straight face.

Apparently Moore knows what women want and thinks that women will not vote for McCain simply because he chose a woman Vice President and especially since Palin is against what women are for and need. He feels that the Republicans think women are stupid and that they think we will vote simply because there is a woman on the ballot.

No Mr. Moron Moore... women are not stupid and it's obvious you think they are. Some of them will vote AGAINST McCain because there is a woman on the ballot... some will vote FOR him because there is a woman on the ballot. Hell... some will vote AGAINST Obama because he is black... some will vote FOR him because he is black and some, like myself, don't care if he's purple with green polka dots.

... but most of us will vote for McCain/Palin for real reasons.

I would be most interested to know exactly what Palin has done or has said that indicates she is against what women are for and need. I thought it was conservative actor Mel Gibson who was the star of that movie... not Liberal Moron Michael Moore.

Yard Sale Politics - Old Time Democrat Will Vote for McCain Because He's Older

Two Saturdays in a row I have had a yard sale. The reason for the sale is not the reason for this post however, I will just mention that the desperate need for money did spur us on to have two sales. How much did we make... about $90... how much do we still have... about $20. But we were able to do some things we weren't able to do before hand, so there you go.

Last Saturday, we had a magician stop by our sale... he explained that he's writing a book on how to be a math wizard by simply using your fingers as a master calculator. He actually showed us some of the calculation techniques... quite interesting. He then went on to show us a few magic tricks while his wife went on buying lots of our stuff... we were pleased. Several people bought children's books (I've been compiling them for years now) and one lady, who is just moving to the area, bought our coffee table that we were hoping would disappear from our treasures. One family across the street came out to see us... we've been here two years and none of our neighbors greeted us when we arrived, so it was a little uncomfortable... but only for a few minutes. Her daughter bought my Japanese bathrobe that was really made in China and swears she will wear it to school.

Today the wife of the magician showed up again and just about forgot she had already visited us the week before... she is definitely a yard sale addict. She bought a few more books but her husband was not with her to entertain us this time around. We didn't think we would get much action since we don't have much to sell any more... but sure enough, we sold our couch to yet another lady who just moved into the area. Again, we were desperate to get rid of it as it was just another huge, heavy item to move from spot to spot in the garage. Yet another neighbor came out of the woodwork today and it turns out she moved in a year ago... and we didn't even notice... so now I feel a bit like a heel. She bought a large rug for $5.00 and we chatted a while to get to know her.

But here is the point of this post... sorry for the long delay.

An man stopped by who was about 60 years old and we believe he was Latino. Now, I wouldn't normally even include such detail but it is pertinent to this post. You see... he started talking about everything under the sun and I found him particularly interesting because he started saying things I didn't expect in regards to politics. He had his hair slicked back and had a few large rings on his fingers. He wore a plain white T-shirt with a nice sized belly that sat over his oddly decorated blue shorts and, below that, his walking sandals. He looked the part of an old-time democrat... you know, before they became bigoted, selfish jerks. But I digress.

I do not recall what spurred the question but he said there are a lot of bad things going on... like Obama. I looked at him and he asked... "are you voting for Obama?". I shook my head no and he said "I'm voting for McCain". He mentioned that his family has always been hard-core democrats but that Democrats aren't what they used to be and that they aren't for the little guy the way they proclaim. This caught my attention because his appearance and the things he had said when he arrived led me to believe this man would feel the government owed him something. Why did I think that... I suppose it was a stereo-type reaction. He had a very strong accent and mentioned that he not only owns a home here but also one in Mexico where he plans to go when the winter arrives. He led me to believe, although not on purpose, that he would want Obama to be the president. I misled myself and this only proves to me that first impressions and our own stereo-typical thoughts are not always correct.

So I was fascinated with this man and just let him talk... and talk he did. He went on to tell me that Mexicans are hard workers because they are made to work at a very young age and it's second nature for them. Americans are not made to do the same things so it's not easy for us to compete with those coming from Mexico. He thinks it's bad for America to hire illegals to do these jobs and then pay them such a low amount. He feels that Americans are NOT lazy and that paying illegals to do jobs that Americans can do is not smart.

He said he isn't happy with what the Mexicans are doing to California and he feels that businesses are moving out and the state is broke due to the fact they work for such low pay and that so many of them are bringing horrible crimes to America. He knew of a man who came up from Mexico just to visit his family but while he was here, he had a heart attack. His family took him to the hospital where he had a $35,000 operation before he went back to Mexico... and didn't pay a dime towards the bill. He asked me if I knew who was going to have to pay for it... I said yes... and he said "we will". He is disgusted with the fact a person can move to California from any state (even move as an illegal from Mexico) and get a check, food stamps and medical coupons almost upon crossing the California border.

Rocky... yes, that is the man's name... mentioned that several years ago when he was young he had to work in a glass factory. One day, the company hired a black man and Rocky was in charge of training him. After some time he went to his boss and explained that the new guy wasn't going to work out because he couldn't get the hang of it and when he was told what to do, he would get in Rocky's face and challenge him. Rocky's boss told said "what can I do Rocky... I can't fire him or he will call discrimination". Rocky's response "so we have to carry this guy?" and his boss just told him yes.

Ironically, he was let go when he asked his boss for two weeks leave due to a family emergency but neglected to get paperwork done in the human resources department. The boss never passed on the word and the company assumed it was a voluntary quit and fired him. Yet... if another man won't do his job right, they can't fire him due to fear of discrimination lawsuits. Couldn't Rocky have claimed discrimination? He isn't white and isn't that the only group who CAN'T yell discrimination and win?

Rocky swears he is not prejudice and made a big deal to tell me that even though I was mostly silent during the conversation and didn't challenge him on anything... I just let him talk. He said he grew up and worked with black people (and he did specify black individuals for some reason) and therefore he wasn't prejudice. I did not wish to argue that he could indeed be prejudice just due to the experience he had so many years ago at the glass factory because that would have been pointless.

Rocky said something like "Obama may be a black man, and I'm not prejudice against blacks, but McCain is older and the better choice". So even this individual is struggling and feels he must preface with "I'm not prejudice" and point out the Obama is black.

He feels that Obama doesn't have the experience to be president and that he likes McCain... one of the reasons is because McCain is a war hero and is older and, therefore in Rocky's eyes, wiser. He was quite pleased by McCain's choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate and feels she's going to do a great job... and he loved the fact she was originally from around our area.

I wondered before he said he liked Palin if he was going to be displeased that McCain chose a woman. On the contrary... he seemed quite pleased. The fact he was happy with McCain's choice made ME feel happy because I have met people older than I am that do not have an open mind in any way at all when it comes to politics. So many feel that a person must be male, white and have a certain type of education. On the other hand, I do not feel that ANYONE should stand up and say "I am different than everyone else, so you must feel compassion for me and vote for me or everyone will think you're prejudice or sexist".

The fact is... if you are an American citizen, you can run for political office. I don't care if you're a man or woman... I don't care what color your skin is or if you go to church every Sunday or once a year... these things are not my deciding factors. There are things I would not like... I would have a problem with electing a Satan worshiper, for instance... but I suppose he could still run for office.

The point is... people are surprising me. I keep thinking I am alone and that everyone out there thinks differently than me... that they think I'm a disease that needs to be eradicated. Turns out, there may be people who think that way, but there are so many others that don't!!! The disease that needs eradicating is the one that seeps inside American citizens and turns them into America haters. I have no time for them... they do not belong in my country.

Top Hit Count - Conservative Actors and Friends of Abe

I've been watching the hit counter a little (now that I have one) and noticed that the top hit as of late comes from people looking for conservative actors. A couple weeks ago it was all about the Olympics... the Chinese scandals that are still unresolved and Michael Phelps breaking every record he could get his hands on. Now we're back in the political arena and people are looking for famous faces to put on their walls and in their blogs and on their tongues when they speak to their co-workers. They want to know which actors to follow in movies and which to avoid like the plague.

Conservative Actors - Stand Up and Be Heard - list of conservative actors and information on the Friends of Abe group.

And we have one of our most recent actors being criticized by more liberal actors... if you can call Roseanne an actor... doubtful she can be called much of a human being these days with the ball bashing she does. Who is this Beacon in the Darkness... none other than Jon Voight.

From link above; quote by VOIGHT:
And he helps them. Obama helps these people by saying very vague things. Nothing that they can put their finger on. He says things like, he said during one of his speeches he said I don't want you to just believe in me. I want you to believe in your own dreams. Well, what does that mean? It means, of course, that I'm anything you want me to be. But on the other side there's an agenda that he has that is very clear and it's and if you look into his background, you can see very clearly the agenda. And as you mentioned, when I say socialism, all those things you mentioned are part of the package, of course, if Obama becomes President. So they are trying to keep away from any understanding of what he's going to do. And the way they do it is by cutting any kind of inquiry off with this kind of intimidation. So it's a real you know, it's a really very disturbing package that we're looking at here.

We have Hollywood's Conservative Underground - how ironic is that... liberal actors can shout and wave their arms all day long proclaiming their beliefs and justifications but if an actor suddenly stands up and says "I disagree with you and your politics" they are threatened with being blacklisted. THAT sounds like socialism... or maybe communism. Let's get a few of our history books out, shall we?

I applaud these individuals who have the power within themselves to say "wait... I have a voice all my own and I don't need to live in fear". Sadly, they are under a dictatorship called The Hollywood Elitists.

Pelosi's Muskanky Wiener Removal Plot (aka penis hater)

Pelosi to protesters: "Can we drill your brains?"

House Democratic leaders and protesters waving McCain signs had a war of words Tuesday at a press event outside an old train station. The demonstrators interrupted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with chants of “Drill here! Drill now!”

Pelosi paused and asked the group, “Right here?”

Seeming to enjoy the back and forth, she followed with another question: “Can we drill your brains?”

She went on to refer to the protesters, who continued to chant sporadically, as “handmaidens of Big Oil.” Arguing that increased offshore drilling would reduce gas prices by only a couple of pennies a decade from now, she referred to the demonstrators as the “2-cents-in-10-years-crowd.”

Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer swiped at the demonstrators, too, saying that “sophomoric chanting” won’t solve the energy crisis and that “all thinking Americans know” — stressing the word "thinking" and looking at the crowd — that America doesn’t have a quarter of the word’s fossil fuels yet uses a quarter of the world’s energy.
This is the kind of garbage that outrages me (and several others based on the comments below the article linked above).

Not only does this prove how ill Nancy Pelosi thinks of our citizens if they don't agree with her... it provides a wonderful example that we can show our children on how NOT TO ACT towards other people. She basically said "you're stupid for thinking anything that doesn't fall into MY way of thinking... you should be the cattle of Pelosi; agree with me or suffer the consequences."

Why didn't she just point, jump up and down and stick her tongue out at everyone while yelling... "I'm speaker of the house and you're not... neener, neener, neener... I've got a big fat wiener!! Well not really... I'm actually a succubus and I use my muskanky aroma to cause a man's wiener to fall off... Mwahahahaha... which is exactly what I want to happen to every conservative man... be him white, black or green... who dares to defy my great muskanky aroma... Mwahahahaha!!! Ye shall lose thy wieners and I shall mount them... no, not in that way cause no one will let me... I shall mount them upon my no-mans-land trophy wall. Mwahahahaha!!! Bow before my muskanky aroma... give me your wieners!"

The greatest mistake any woman can make to the man in her life is to remove his penis... for without it, he is just another pussy with a detachable wang he never gets to use unless she's there. A man without a penis is like a battle ship without it's guns... a car without an engine... a plane without wings... a house without doors... a country without a good leader. Hmmm...

I'm tired of women who try to make our men into wimpy, whiny, cry-babies who always say "gee, honey... what do you think... can I take my penis to work today?" A man can be what a woman wants and needs without turning him into another woman... hell... if you want that, become a lesbian; then get back to me and let me know just how much better THAT turns out.

Give our men their penises back!! And while you're at it... give us good leadership... get rid of Pelosi and all the other crap dealers. Where are our conservative men and women to stand up and take us into the future?

Let's not forget Pelosi the 4th Grader.

New McCain Ad

Isn't that nice... Hilary likes McCain better than Obama...

Do you know enough about Barack Obama?

Ayers and Obama: What is their relationship?

Clinton said she was concerned about Obama's association with Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground who Clinton pointed out said in an interview published on Sept. 11, 2001, that he didn't regret bombing government buildings.

Obama's Weatherman Connection

The only hard facts that have come out so far are the $200 contribution by Ayers to the Obama re-election fund, and their joint membership of the eight-person Woods Fund Board. Ayers did not respond to e-mails and telephone calls requesting clarification of the relationship.

Whatever his past, Ayers is now a respected member of the Chicago intelligentsia, and still a member of the Woods Fund Board. The president of the Woods Fund, Deborah Harrington, said he had been selected for the board because of his solid academic credentials and "passion for social justice."

"This whole connection is a stretch," Harrington told me. "Barack was very well known in Chicago, and a highly respected legislator. It would be difficult to find people round here who never volunteered or contributed money to one of his campaigns."

University of Illinois at Chicago releases papers with Barack Obama-William Ayers link

Obama has said he ‘‘deplored’’ what Ayers did in the 1960s and that ‘‘by the time I met him, he is a professor of education at the University of Illinois. We served on a board together that had Republicans, bankers, lawyers, focused on education.’’

I don't have much of an opinion on this one yet... not enough information has come out. I'll just sit back and keep an eye out for a while... will be interesting to find out just how much of an influence Ayers has had on Obama.

Joe Biden, The Death Knell For Obama

David Drake: Joe Biden, The Death Knell For Obama

And why did Biden feel the need to point out that Obama is an
"African-American"? Oh, that's right, Lefties can't help themselves from
pointing out when someone isn't white. They think that by doing this it shows
their color-blindness, but what it really demonstrates is that Lefties view
everything through the prism of skin color.
And isn't that the question of the century? People preach and point their fingers at others and scream "racist" at the improper blink of the eye. If you say the wrong word at the wrong hour on the wrong day, suddenly you are labeled a hater. If you defend someone who is white, you are a racist... if you defend someone who has any other color skin, you are a hero.

Why is that?

I can tell you one thing... it's backfiring. So many have dictated how evil it is to be prejudice and then gone on to preach how dishonorable and disgusting it is to say this word or that word or make this face or look in the wrong direction at the wrong time... they've gone so far off track that the original thought (prejudice is bad) has been mixed into a never ending pot of things we can't do or say.

Why is that?

I do not consider myself prejudice. Of course, there are tons of people out there who ARE prejudice who will also say they are not... so who is and who isn't? I will tell you why I am not prejudice. The reason I am not is very clear and obvious to me... I am not prejudice because I do not think about it. Yes, I do realize it's a real problem but at the moment, I am talking about me and only me. I did not look at Obama when he was in the race against Hilary and think "gee... he's a black man"; that thought came to me over and over again when the liberals forced it down my throat. I could have cared less... now I'm worried if he does become president and I'm worried if he doesn't!

We have been programed to look at an individual and sum them up quickly, even if it is not accurately. When I look at another human, I describe them instantly in my head and one of those describing thoughts happens to be the color of skin. It is not because I'm thinking to myself "gee... look at him... he's purple"... no, it's because we, as humans, take a snap shot and then analyse it. How a person does the analyzing is entirely up to him or her.

When a new person comes to work at my job, I take a snap shot and then try to discover if my analyzing is anywhere close to the right (it's a game I play with my mind). Usually, I am not even close. Looking at someone and then deciding anything about him is mostly useless. Oh, there are always exceptions to every rule... but for the most part, looks can be deceiving.

I could care less what color skin the person running for president has... it makes absolutely no difference to me so long as the person is the right person for the job. If you take the wrong person and make him look exactly the way everyone wants him to look... he will still fail the presidency. If you take the right person and make him look absolutely wrong... he will succeed.

Now... I am going to end this with one thing... it is hard to overcome fears about ANY group of people if you have been hurt by anyone in that group (whether it be skin color, age, sex, religion, anything). I get that... I've experienced it and have overcome it (but only after many years). When someone is running for any office... he or she will always come up against those who can't get passed "something" that haunts their individual experiences.

Obama does not fall into any unresolved segments of my life... my own experiences were geared towards a different group that Obama does not fall into (and I am not only speaking of his skin color). Even with those issues taken care of... if someone were to run for president that looked like what I FEEL I have overcome... I may be reluctant because the memories would all come back to me in flashes. Does that make me prejudice? I think it makes me cautious and aware of what is in our world. What one person does can ruin or harm future people who look like similar simply because the person harmed is leery of something evil that happened.

... and it's hard sometimes to realize it was "one" not "all".

My issue with Obama as President of the USA has to do with socialism and nothing to do with how he looks.

Note: Borrowing label from David Drake... JoeBama (love it).

The Subject of Abortion

I am often reluctant to talk about the subject of abortion. Generally, I am a conservative in many areas however I have mixed feelings about this subject. I do feel it is an individual's choice and should not be dictated by the government... the people should vote to say whether or not it is legal and it should probably go state-to-state.

That being said... I do have strong opinions on WHO should be allowed to have an abortion and WHEN they should be allowed to do it. I do not agree that a minor should be allowed to get an abortion without a parent's permission. I do not agree that a woman should be able to get one passed a certain point in her pregnancy.

As for the teenager wanting an abortion (the WHO)... I was a teen once and I do remember what it was like. I was reclusive and felt that if I did certain things, others would like me and sometimes the people I wanted to have like me, were not the best examples of humans. I recall thinking "if I could just get pregnant, then that guy will want or HAVE to be with me forever". Seriously... this is what I thought. Luckily, what I wished for did not happen.

I do not have a daughter, so I can only imagine how I would feel if my daughter were to get pregnant and then run down to the local doctor to get an abortion (or to the next state) without needing my permission to do so. It angers me when Planned Parenthood steps in and basically takes the place of a teen's parents, family or other important, decision making person in her life.

Point: I understand there are certain circumstances (such as the rape of the girl by her father) wherein getting permission from the parent is difficult. If it was her father and the mother is in denial... that would make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for her to get signed permission. And besides that... there are clearly other legal issues that need to be dealt with... like the removal of the teen from such a hostile environment. There are always circumstances and everyone is different and everyone goes through different things that can have the same outcome.

I'm talking more about the girl who has a boyfriend and they were just stupid and didn't use protection. She needs permission from her parents; she needs to swallow her pride and admit her mistake. Will she be met by anger and disappoinment? Probably... but adding further deception and allowing a doctor to perform a procedure that could have complications as minor as an infection... to sterilization... to death; that needs careful thought and investigation to make sure she goes to the right place. Does that mean I feel every girl should have an abortion if she gets pregnant? No... it means that I feel it should be an option but that the parent (s) or another guardian needs to be involved.

As to the timing of an abortion (the WHEN)... I do not have a lock down in my mind as to the exact point in the pregnancy when it is too late. I do, however, have an idea. If the baby can survive in the outside world... it is too late to have an abortion. Personally... I would say NEVER after the 2nd trimester unless the mother or baby will experience horrible complications or one or both will die. My other thought, and this is definately more of a personal belief, if the baby is going to be born with horrible life-time complications... an abortion may be for the best; but again, that is my belief. The question becomes... who is to say what complications are horrible enough? And there in lies the real problem... we can't agree on the "what" and the "when".

So... definately not after the 2nd trimester unless mother or baby is in jeapordy and not for teens without parental permission (except in certain circumstances). Other than these things... abortion is a personal decision and the reason a person has one is no one elses business. I feel strongly that once a fetus reaches a certain stage, an abortion should be the LAST resort. If you've waited too long and you just can't keep your baby... someone else will want to give him or her lots of love.

I think some people have an abortion for pride sake... they would be embarassed to carry a baby to term and then give it up for adoption. On the contrary... that is a much more noble act.

As for Obama's thoughts on abortion... I do not think one should ever feel that the punishment for having sex too young or without protection is to have a baby. If his daughters get pregnant before they are ready and they are not yet adults, then I feel they need their parent's permission... if they are already an adult, then they need no one's permission but should still be mindful of the limits of "when" to have an abortion. But anyone who thinks a child is a punishment should never have sex without protection because clearly they are not prepared for the joy a child can bring.

Just a few of my opinions to add the to crater full.

Bug for President

It's so hard to stand up for a candidate... any candidate... when they lead us astray. Did McCain sit in the cone of silence? Does it matter... really? The answer is yes ,simply because if the situation were reversed and it came out that Obama did not sit in the cone of silence... then conservatives would be pissed. So what's the truth? Was he in a cone of silence or in the back of a motorcade? The NYT is reporting that he was not in the cone.

What I want to see is Ronald Reagan, at the prime of his political life, walk out from the cone of silence (aka his grave) and become our conservative presidential candidate. There are things McCain says that I agree with but there are so many things that are not from a conservative mind-set. There are very few things that Obama says that I agree with so that makes me look towards McCain.

I am going to run for President. I mean... why not? I agree with my own beliefs and I think I can answer just about any question... although I would have to say things like "let me get back to you on that" or "Hmmm... an interesting question... let me check my calendar". I do not have the background of either candidate but some of the hogwash coming out of Obama's mouth makes little sense... almost as if he's TRYING to relate in some way to other people, but just doesn't know how. McCain is a nice speaker and is pretty quick on the draw and definately has more experience than Obama... but he's a democrat in a republican's suit. Obama is a socialist in democrat's suit. Where is my conservative candidate?

I can be president... I'm really neither liberal nor conservative (although clearly more conservative) so I should be able to blend right in. I do know some facts about issues but react more based on my feelings. So why not??? Hell... even with all that... I'm a pretty fact-based reactionist... give me the TRUTH about a subject and I will make the right decision.

Bug for President (although I'm sure I would have to eventually admit my true name... but maybe not... doesn't seem that this election is based much on truth or honesty so I might as well call myself Bug).

Saddleback Transcripts: McCain & Obama

Read the actual transcript here ... read more or digg story (note: the first three parts are Obama and the last three are McCain).

This is not the official record... see note below!

Quick comment (more later) I watched the video below and thought McCain gave some great answers and utilized his time well by giving additional information. Watch a segment of the Saddleback Forum here.

The computerized, realtime notes (computer notes, rough draft transcripts, or disks) cannot be used, cited, or certified as the official record or certified transcript of the civil forum on presidency. There may be differences between the computerized, realtime notes and the certified transcript. Only the certified transcript of the certified shorthand reporter can be the official record of the civil forum on presidency being taken.

The Olympic Scandals - is it real or is it Chinese

Lin Miaoke who lip-synched at the opening ceremony over the voice of Yang Peiyi [right]
who was considered unsuited to the lead role because of her buck teeth. Photo: GETTY/AFP

This news story has been around for a while but it wasn't until now that I could really focus and comment... there are just so many things going on these days.

Both of these little girls are very cute... just in different ways. I was expecting to find a picture of some hideous child but instead was faced with the pictures above. Lin (in the red) has a different look than Yang... Lin has a "longer" look to her while Yang has a much rounder face. That could be due to genetics or the fact one is 9 and the other is 7 years old. Yang's teeth have not come in as straight as Lin's but there are millions of children in countries across the world who have teeth that don't grow in straight... that's why braces were invented (and I'm fairly confident that China knows how to install braces... or do they?).

Did China think the world would assume that all of their people have crooked teeth? Couldn't they have given us credit to figure out she can't have braces yet because she's ONLY 7 YEARS OLD? And even if everyone in China DID have crooked teeth... so what! That being said, we saw a lot of Chinese athletes who had perfect teeth and some of them with missing teeth (another story).

The supposedly ethnic minority children who were actually all
from the dominant Han group. (Oliver Weiken/EPA)

China also decided to use one ethnic group, the Han majority, rather than the implied... no, the suggested... no, the flat out lie that they represented all 56 Chinese ethnic groups during the opening night harmony parade.

Imagine if you will... America decides to do a similar ceremony to represent the different ethnic groups living here and someone decides to use just a select few. Lets say they decide to use only white men between the ages of 23 and 26 with brown hair and blue eyes standing 5'10" tall and weighing between 160-180... and black women between the ages of 23 and 26 with very short hair standing at least 5'8 and weighing between 110-120 pounds. And lets imagine that the officials running this program proclaim that these individuals represent all of our ethnic groups and are actually FROM those ethnic groups. Would anyone be happy? Would it be true? Would we have protests and mobs in the streets?

I think I said what I need to say about this subject in the post shown just above.

Beautiful... spectacular... fantastic... astronomical... fabulous... tremendous... fictitious...

Article: Fakery makes plain China's contempt for reality

And the stunning display of opening-night fireworks that seemed to show a series of
Godzilla-sized footprints approaching Beijing? Computerized special effects inserted
into the television broadcast. A reporter for The Oregonian in Portland, watching
with a crowd in Tiananmen Square when the real fireworks went off, wrote that they
saw only "two tiny flare-like blasts pop in the sky, followed by a lot of nothing.''

There's nothing like seeing something live... and there's nothing like having someone who did see it live confirm how lame it was. I have seen plenty of fireworks live and was impressed by them. I don't trust what I see on the screen anymore... not with all our technical advances and computer generated affects. When you see fireworks in person and you can feel the power of the BOOM and feel the way your eyes focus and your pupils dilated; that's real. I've noticed on line the new catch phrase... it's it real, or is it Chinese.

Michael Phelps - 8 of 8 in 08

Michael Phelps comes home with 8 golds out of 8 events in 2008 and 7 world records.

This gives him a total of 16 Olympic medals; 14 of them Gold. What more needs to be said?

Conservative Actors - Stand Up & Be Heard

A list of the top 25 actors was found here at one time but apparently the site no longer exists. After doing a google search, I found another site that somehow saved the info from the original site before it disappeared... it is found HERE. I don't know how accurate the list is nor how long ago it was compiled. I am interested in determining how many others should be placed on it... definately Jon Voight.

Per the original website, the list below is in order of the most conservative to the least conservative based upon things they have said and money they have donated(or not donated). What would be great? If they would make a stand instead of remaining silent and letting us assume they are all liberal... since that is the stereotype we place them into.

Top 25: Ben Stein; Chuck Norris; Sylvester Stallone; Pat Boone; Wayne Newton; Kelsey Grammer; Arnold Schwarzenegger; Charlton Heston; Tom Selleck; James Caviezel; Kurt Russell; Drew Carey; Tony Danza; Robert Duvall; Clint Eastwood; Dennis Hopper; Heather Locklear; Rip Torn; James Woods; Stephen Baldwin; Lara Flynn Boyle; Bo Derek; Sarah Michelle Gellar; Mel Gibson; Angie Harmon

Honorable Mentions: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson; Freddie Prinze Jr.; Adam Sandler; Ron Silver; Fred Thompson; Vince Vaughn; Bob Barker; Ernes Borgnine; Jule Bowen; Dean Cain; Shannen Doherty; Bruce Willis.

Article: Hollywood's conservative underground: 'Friends of Abe" group meets quietly

Excerpt from article above:
Participants said Friends of Abe is not partisan, but rather functions as a support
group where Republicans, Democrats and independents alike can discuss issues they
care about. And the low-key gatherings at restaurants and homes have given
conservatives a safe place to meet and express their views, they added.

"A Friend of Abe is someone who has reverence for those who serve in our military
and believes that American liberal democracy is a unique success, different from
others, and it's worthy of the respect of our popular culture ... of Hollywood in
particular," said screenwriter Lionel Chetwynd, who helped organize Friends of Abe
luncheons when they began four years ago.
Craig Haffner, a producer who also attended the gatherings, said Friends of Abe is
"not a political action group; people are gravitating to it because they love their
country." While the group is not organizing any political activities, some of its
members are taking action into their own hands.

Actor Jon Voight, Mr. Boone, Mr. Chetwynd and Mr. Haffner have stepped forward
and actively campaigned for Mr. McCain's presidential bid. Mr. Boone said he talked
to McCain campaign staffers last week about how he and other stars can help.
Supporters now are assembling a formal organization for Mr. McCain in Hollywood,
a few of the leaders said.

Continued from article...

David Horowitz, another Hollywood conservative and founder of the Los Angeles-
based Center for the Study of Popular Culture, said the group is serving a good
purpose but he worries its members won't be aggressive enough.

"There's a kind of ... intellectual terror in this town. People are terrorized; they're
afraid to say what they think. So what Gary is doing to provide aid and comfort to its
victims is admirable, and I applaud him for it," he said. "But my concern is it's not
going to be much more than that."
Conservative actors... stand up and be heard. If several of you stick up for what you believe in, then there will be a lot less backlash to feel (and you will have plenty of support out here in the "real world"). The problem is there are so little that let their beliefs and thoughts become public. Meeting privately is a start but doing it as a social gathering will not help anyone out here >waves< who wonders if Hollywood is just a bunch of nut jobs who want the country to turn to socialism.

... and if you think working in Hollywood is hard now... you just wait until you work under a socialist thumb.

NBC’s Collinsworth-LESS Questions Kobe’s Patriotism

Quote from MsUnderestimated.com (click "read more" below for full article)

Typical anti-American tool at NBC. Chris Collinsworth had a brief segment with
Kobe Bryant of Team U.S.A. about what the Olympic games mean to him this year.
Chris asked him about what it felt like when he first got his U.S.A. uniform,
and Kobe begins to talk about what an honor it was for him [...]

read more or digg story

Watch the actual interview here: Kobe - A Very Proud American!!

Collinsworth (less): Tell the story when you first got your USA uniform.

Kobe: Well I had goosebumps and I actually just looked at it for awhile. I just held it there and I laid it across my bed and I just stared at it for a few minutes; just because as a kid growing up this is the ultimate, ultimate in basketball.

Collinsworth (less): Where does the patriotism come from inside of you? Historically, what is it?

Kobe: Well, you know it’s just our country, it’s… we believe is the greatest country in the world. It has given us so many great opportunities, and it’s just a sense of pride that you have; that you say ‘You know what? Our country is the best!’

Collinsworth (less): Is that a ‘cool’ thing to say, in this day and age? That you love your country, and that you’re fighting for the red, white and blue? It seems sort of like a day gone by.

Kobe: No, it’s a cool thing for me to say. I feel great about it, and I’m not ashamed to say it. I mean, this is a tremendous honor.

So the question actually is... why is Chris Collinsworth-LESS living in a country that he clearly feels shame over? Watching this video, you can see Kobe's lips begin to purse during the "is that a cool thing to say" question.

Kobe's comment was that as a kid growing up this was the ultimate in basketball... in other words, he's dreamed of this moment his whole life and Mr. Worthless is sweeping away at his dreams like it's a spiderweb in the way of the quest to get rid of all patriotism.

I actually watched this interview on TV myself (thank god for DVR) and the rest of it was pretty civil... Chris let Kobe's patriotism be what it was and Kobe let down his guard once Chris went on to other things. After the interview was over, the station took us back to the main seat at the Olympics where he said something to the affect (not an exact quote) that it was nice to be around all of the youngsters who were in the same realm as Kobe. I'm not sure what that meant... did he therefore actually AGREE with Kobe's statement or was he just trying to make himself look good after hearing his own interview.

If he actually does want to make Americans ashamed of feeling pride in their country or if it's his goal to make it UNCOOL to be a proud American, then I would have to say that Chris Collinsworth-LESS is not a man... he is not an American... and, no matter what his intentions were, he is not even considerate of another person's dreams. All Chris thinks about is the next question wherein he can damage a great career and somehow prove that being a proud American is shameful. Mr. Worthless should be ashamed and just wash away into the Earth where maybe his biological contributions to dirt will be more helpful.

The Political Compass

Not being sure "what I am" led me to a site my son used in his recent economics class called The Political Compass. I thought I would mess around with it and here's what it came up with.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 3.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.05

I'm still not really sure what this means... but looking at the chart they had back in April 2008 showing the candidates; I'm really even more confused about where in the world people stand politically. I don't consider Obama to be on the Right...

Excerpt from the site:

When examining the chart it's important to note that although most of the
candidates seem quite different, in substance they occupy a relatively
restricted area within the universal political spectrum. Democracies with a
system of proportional representation give expression to a wider range of
political views. While Dennis Kucinich and Ralph Nader are depicted on the
extreme left in an American context, they would simply be mainstream social
democrats within the wider political landscape of Europe. Similarly, Hillary
Clinton is popularly perceived as a leftist in the United States while in any
other western democracy her record is that of a mainstream conservative.

Wow... who would have ever thought Hilary was considered a mainstream conservative anywhere.

Chinese Olympians for 2008 - How old are they?

Alright... alright... let's talk about the controversy about "age".

I've been reading articles here and there about everyone wondering if the Chinese girls are all going to turn at least 16 this year. Lately there has come forth a little more eyebrow raising with our friend on Google called "cache". Cache is a wonderful feature (or a detrimental one) because it can show what a website looked like BEFORE it was changed. For views of cached information on this, view this blog: Gateway Pundit: China Busted

Asians often do look younger than other people from other nationalities. I have a Korean friend whom I thought was about eight years younger than me... turns out she's two years older; and I already don't look as old as I am.

But even with that fact in mind, the girls in question (YANG Yilin: website states she was born in 1992 but if you view cached information, the year is 1993) looks to be about 12 years old for ANY nationality. Yang is not turning 16 this month... she's turning 15. That being said, she barely looks her current age of 14. So with that knowledge, one could say she really could be 16 if she looks 12 and is actually 15. Did you follow any of that? It's definitely confusing.

Another girl (He Kexin) has a cache out there that indicates she is a year younger than we are being told she is. Again... go here for more on that: Gateway Pundit: China Busted

I had thought of something earlier... what are the odds that some of these girl really think they are going to turn 16. If they believe they are older than they really are... that we be very convincing if questioned. Of course, if they really ARE turning 16... hello... that would be embarrassing for all of us. On the other hand... they could very well know they are not old enough and that would make them just as guilty.

I have a very hard time believing that everyone made innocent mistakes. Her parents, trainers, team mates, family, those she lives with... someone knew her real age and was either involved in the cover-up or too afraid to say anything. And when a person says "they were afraid to say anything for fear of their government"... people roll their eyes and say things like "that only happens in the movies". Really? Interesting how people can say that with a straight face.

The question is... how would we, the American people, feel about our team suddenly holding the gold due to a disqualification. What I want to see happen is for them to be embarrassed... to apologize... and then have to live with the fact that every country will be leery of them in the future. I would find it more shameful for them realizing everyone knows they cheat.

It's not a matter of ripping the gold out of their hands in order to give it to our girls... silver is fantastic... it's a matter of going by the rules set forth and agreed upon by every nation and sticking with them even if that means you miss out on the medal you want. These girls are Olympians because their government told them they would be no matter what they wanted from life. Their families push them to remain there no matter what they want from life now (just look into the lives of at least one of their divers and one of their gymnasts... they begged to go on with something else). It is a status symbol... a way of having your child pull the family out of the poverty and giving the family name honor. Okay... I can see how that would be appealing... but when does a life become it's own destiny and not that of their government.

My favorite picture out there... four girls doing a little shopping and letting their smiles peak out; right here it seems their ages shine right on through their tough Olypian souls. The girls mentioned above are shown here on the far left. Personally, I think the girls on the right look even younger.

Jon Voight - A Beacon in the Darkness

Today's journey into politics began with my daily email from Glenn Beck. Inside was a link to an interview Glenn had with Jon Voight. Mr. Voight wrote an article for The Washington Times called VOIGHT: My concerns for America.

Excerpt from Glenn's interview:

VOIGHT: You know something, I've been kind of I haven't been as aggressive perhaps as I should have been in regard to this, you know, intimidation because it is a very pernicious act and it seems like one of the reasons why I wrote the article was because nobody knows about Michelle Obama. The people who are supporting him and cheering him, you know. If you ask them why they are voting for him, you don't get very, you know, very substantive answers.

GLENN: Yeah.

VOIGHT: You get, well, he's a nice looking fellow, I like the way he talks, he's I like change, I want change. They have no idea what the change is that this fellow is going to usher in.

GLENN: Right.

VOIGHT: And he helps them.

GLENN: Jon, you were if I'm not mistaken, weren't you an antiwar activist back in the Sixties?

VOIGHT: I was. I was caught up in that movement as most people were.

GLENN: Sure.

VOIGHT: And probably because of that, I see a little bit more clearly now what's going on.
Excerpt from VOIGHT: My concerns for America.

The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.

The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away.
After reading Mr. Voight's article, I had to create an account on The Washington Times in order to comment. My comment to him is below (although, I don't know how much time he has to actually read all that is there or will be there after Glenn's interview).

By: BugDrivel
I too must thank you for this article. Discussions of Obama often bring up socialism... whether it be on-line, at home or on the streets. For the most part, I think a lot of people don't understand socialism and often think it will be an answer to their problems... an easy out, if you will. Just look at all of the things they won't have to worry about any more... but just look at all of the things they won't have any more. Not necessarily physical or monetary things... but freedom to be what you want without first having to get permission.

I read comments wherein people think there’s no way Obama is leading us to socialism… but if they took the time to look at the definition and study Marxism, they would indeed see a very strong similarity. Socialism leads into communism... a little at a time until eventually you find you're right in the middle of a place without any freedoms... until one day people rise up to take down the government and turn to capitalism.

We are the United States of America... once you have a taste and a feel of freedom, it's hard to give it up. But if we do not teach our children and our young adults the difference between what they have now and what they won't have later... we will fall into this horrible place called socialism. Truly, we have become a society that takes much for granted and we cry for more when we have so much.

I read people’s comments on-line every day about how horrible it is in America and how we're falling apart. I asked one person just how bad he had it since he clearly had a computer in which to make his opinion known... but even computers seem to be like owning a toothbrush... it just IS.

August 12, 2008 at 11:25 p.m.
I have been met with much anger by liberals (whether or not they call themselves that) who come up against my thoughts. I am called an idiot or other such "nice names" and then... if I'm lucky... after hearing that I'm not going to lash back at them, it calms down a bit... until the next outburst. Truly, this does come more from the younger generation than the older generation. I think it is based on how easily a person can be swayed to the point of view of another when the alternative is to be an outcast. If Jane thinks Bob is a moron for thinking one way and if she makes a big enough stir with the crowd, eventually Bob will fall to her way of thinking just to be in favor of the crowd. Don't get me wrong... I am not pointing fingers at others without first experiencing those same events.

My son has brought home many issues from school either from the teacher or the other students and we've almost bordered on arguing just because he felt so passionate about an issue. As his parents, we do not disallow such passion but we won't roll over just to agree with his thoughts. We have learned to discuss things logically and as adults without getting mad at each other. We still get frustrated from time to time but here's what usually happens. He has one point of view and we have another. The difference is that we also have knowledge of his point of view before we talk about it because we have an open mind and try to learn as much as we can. He on the other hand has only heard one point of view from the school and that is it until we begin our discussion. He has learned to talk to us to gather more information and then decide for himself... I do not insist he takes my side but I do insist he gets the WHOLE story.

My issue is this... the teachers push their ideas on the students without giving them the WHOLE book of information. It would be like reading a novel with only the "even" numbered chapters. You might be able to get the idea of the story but you won't really know what happened. Then, when you discuss the story with someone who only had the "odd" numbered chapters, it's no wonder an argument flares and both parties are standing there screaming that they know how the story goes... THEY DO know the story... based on the knowledge they have; and both only have half a story.

The best thing to do is for both parties to pool their chapters together to form the ENTIRE STORY... once that is done, the answers are obvious. Unfortunately, so many of us don't realize we only have half a story and insist we know everything. I'm beginning to think that some people are burning certain chapters to keep people in the dark.

Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?

Why did the chicken cross the road?

In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us
the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.

To die in the rain. Alone.

Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell,
for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case
of molting, and went on to accomplish its life long dream of crossing the road.

The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken
wanted CHANGE!

Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.

My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need
to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other
side of the road.

Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the
road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure -- right from
Day One! -- that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves
to cross the road. But then, this really isn't about me.......

We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to
know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either
against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here.

Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken
crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.

The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must
first deal with the problem on 'THIS' side of the road before it goes after
the problem on the 'OTHER SIDE' of the road. What we need to do is help
him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking on his 'CURRENT' problems
before adding 'NEW' problems.

I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What is your definition of chicken?

Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he
wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken learn from
his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken
a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the
rest of the chickens.

It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

I invented the chicken!

Michael Phelp's Gold Medal News

I was watching the Olympics yesterday and saw Michael Phelp's earn his first medal of 2008... he was thrilled and excited. Later I watched as he received his gold medal and then how the Chinese completely butchered our National Anthem. They didn't start it at the beginning of the anthem and then the whole thing sounded odd... but it was the ending that raised eyebrows. Right when the song was before the point of "land of the free and the home of the brave"... the song completely stopped.

Michael laughed it off and President Bush along with other supporters continued to wave their flags as if the anthem was still playing... to show their support.

So I went to YouTube to see if anyone had posted this embarrassment and sure enough one person had. It was entitled "China Messes Up National Anthem During Michael Phelps Gold Medal Ceremony." At first I thought it was a little funny because it could be a legitimate mistake... and I probably would have just continued to feel that way.

Until this morning when I returned to YouTube to show it to my boyfriend. I clicked on the video (which is still in my favorites and will continue to sit there... see below) and was greeted with the message "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by a third party." Interesting. Well now... how many geniuses does it take to figure out that it was officials or someone representing officials from China who had it removed. I don't think it even takes a genius. YouTube rules state that certain items such as concerts or sporting events may be removed due to copyright issues... but it just seems odd because other sporting clips are still on the site. And I know it may very well be NBC who came along and removed it... however...

Yes... I was informed that we have made errors with other country's anthems... told we put flags upside down... but this seems different somehow just because of the differences between China and America and what our anthem says and based on which part was cut off.

So far we've had a man killed who coincidentally was related to a former Olympian and related to a coach at the current Olympics and now they're sending messages that having a song say "land of the free and home of the brave" is not allowed in a communist nation. I hope we demolish them with the number of medals our Olympians earn.

God bless America... land of the free and the home of the brave!!

As you can see by a screen shot of my favorites... there were 1,473 views and 34 comments. My comment was about the 5th, so I have no idea what others were saying about this video. It was published on August 9, 2008 at 8:24pm and lasted a total of 2 minutes 20 seconds. Wow... who would have thought so much could be said in so little time.

Amendment: Just went back to YouTube to look for other videos and sure enough there was one called US Anthem chopped at Beijing 2008 that has also been removed. Interesting, isn't it.

New Amendment: Just found ONE video that hasn't been sniped YET... probably because the title doesn't mention anything about the anthem. Here it is... until it is removed:

REVISED: 8/12/08... guess this video has been removed as well... I'm sure the whole thing was just a bizarre accident. No really.. forget the whole thing... forget... forget... forrrrrrrrrget!! Grain washing courtesy of Bug... you're welcome!

The Day Socialism Comes to America

"The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." ~ Norman Thomas - (1884-1968) six-time U.S. Presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America.

LINK: The day socialism comes to America

But with the initiatives being proposed by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in the 2008 presidential campaign, it appears Norman Thomas was right all along. Americans will, indeed, embrace every fragment of the socialist program in the name of liberalism.

Both of the leading Democrats call for nationalized health care – for a power grab by Washington in which the federal government will seize full control of another one-seventh of the U.S. economy.

This would, of course, be the most dramatic and irreversible step toward U.S. socialism in the nation's history.

Plotted, schemed and planned... it can not be a coincidence that both Obama and Clinton want to change our society to socialism. If you were to ask either one... confront either one... they would deny it and claim that what they want to do has nothing to do with socialism. Clearly... they are not of the democratic party... they are of the socialist party and they're too afraid of NOT getting elected that they won't just come out and admit it.

Thing is... after reading so much garbage off of YouTube today, it's clear to me now that it wouldn't matter if Obama came out and said he was a communist... people would still follow him into the darkness of oppression and (dare I say it) slavery, without even batting an eye lash.

Americans may simply be too far gone spiritually, morally and intellectually
to reject the temptations of socialism.

Socialism is antithetical to human nature, yet it has great appeal to the human mind.

People have been broken down by our educational programs... told that the country's problems have been caused by certain groups of people. There has been no opposing side to the story... they're made to believe that America is falling apart and that we're evil and should be punished for crimes we have not committed or past discressions that have been forgiven.

America is not perfect and we've made some bad decisions along the way... unfortunately, those bad things are the highlights of history books and history videos shown in schools and the good things are sidelined. Children come home saying how bad America is for things they know not... things that coincidentally the teachers chopped up and purposely leave out important details (like how we give to others freely, without payment).

They come home to tell parents that the only thing Lincoln did was free slaves and that everyone opposed him (which makes all Americans out to want slaves) and that was why we had our civil war. That is only a half truth... only a small percentage of Americans owned slaves or even wanted them. They come home to tell how America bombed Japan and killed thousands of people... again... only a half truth.

We are made out to be the villain in every history discussion and what do we expect when these children grow into adults? They are bitter and jaded and disappointed in their country and brainwashed into believing that a socialist society would save them and make all the evil go away. I recall much of this teaching even when I was a child but it's stronger now and upsetting when I hear from my son how horrible we are.

Stop teaching our children to hate... stop teaching our children that we are the bad guys... stop now or we will fall so far into hell that there will be no return for centuries to come.

Conversations with a Liberal, Part I

My post entitled Obama - Parenting Marxist Style has not received any comments as of yet, however the comments I made on YouTube under the video has definitely stirred up some "interesting" conversations. I love copy/paste functions.

My first comment under this video ended with the statement that McCain will get my vote. This did not sit well with one viewer. I am assuming this person is a man just by his screen name, but who really knows these days.

ME: How many counselors will this little girl need after hearing that everything needs to change because it's all bad? Probably in her small eyes, life is good and there are no evils or terrorist - then along comes Obama - the man hates America and there are people who want to put him in power and allow him to turn our great country into yet another socialist society that will eventually fail. McCain gets my vote!!!

HIM: Then you're an idiot.

ME: Move to Cuba or China or Russia. It's people like you who add comments like "you're an idiot" showing the rest of us just how ignorant & childish you are. When people want to debate with dignity, I'm all for it... but lately, if I make a comment that someone doesn't agree with, I am attacked and THAT is one of the reasons you will never convince me to change my mind. The media is one sided - I am not - and I will stand fast against "idiots" (to use your words) like yourself.

HIM: Dignity? You can shove dignity up your ass, because the only dignity Americans have right now is the dignity of being American, so much so that they're too blind to see that the US needs major change. McCain says to forget about change. McCain is an ignorant douche. Obama said straight up that "America needs to stop being ignorant". How can you not agree with that?! You'd need to be fully retarded to disagree with that statement.

ME: Thank you for proving my point. All you can do is yell and blame others for whatever situation you are currently in. There is need for change but Obama wants to change EVERYTHING and that right there will make him lose. You obviously can not have a conversation without pointing fingers and bombing me (and others I've noticed) with your insults and ignorance. I see no point in you continuing to waste my time with anyone who is incapable of at least having an open mind. Have a wonderful weekend!

HIM: Name me one thing that doesn't need change. America is a shitstain on the map, and no one bothers to change that. Obama is the only one WILLING to do something about it. McCain is going to be another George Bush, and we don't need another one of those for the next 4 years. And how was I pointing fingers? It's you pointing the finger at me and calling me closed-minded when there is nothing to be open-minded about.

ME: You pointed your finger at me by calling me an idiot after my initial statement. It's clear to me that you are voting for Obama and I am voting for McCain; and it is our right to do so. The difference is that I don't call you an idiot in an attempt to bait you. I don't desire to provoke others... I desire to have adult conversations. Where in America do you live that's so horrible. Are you homeless or starving? Clearly you're well enough off to have access to a computer.

HIM: Do I have to be American to give a damn? I admit, you're a good guy with a logical mindset. What you don't seem to realize is that majority of Americans have some stupid way of thinking that they are the best in the world and there's no better place to live other than USA. Everyone besides Americans seem to know that America is one of the worst places to live nowadays because of what the gov. have been up to. McCain thinks just like Bush, and Bush was the one who got you into this mess. Obama, on the other hand, knows full well the way things are turning up, and knows that change is needed. He seems to be the only one who feels that America is in the worst condition of all, now that Iraq is doing so much better than they are in terms of GNP (I think that's what it is). America is wasting money on a pointless war that has been proven to be pointless many times, but everyone believes that the war was needed? For what, to waste money? Obama feels that America is ignorant to these issues and knows that something needs to be done, not like McCain and switch over to the policies that would get him the most votes every time one of them isn;t working. Even if Obama is BS'ing, the fact that he knows what's wrong with what once was a great nation makes him a better candidate for this election.

ME: These are responses I can respect, whether or not I agree, you show logic & are non-threatening. I disagree that all non-Americans think this is the worst place to live - if that were true people would stop moving here. McCain does think more like Bush, that is true, but he is not a conservative candidate. We have a very far left candidate and a liberal candidate. This leaves people with little choice so they vote against the one we don't want by voting for the other. Obama doesn't have to love everything about America & everyone knows there are things that need to be fixed. What we need is the government to be in the hands of the people & the states while the federal government does what it was created to do -- protect us, not make us all identical & bail us out when we make mistakes. Obama's plans sound socialistic in tone. I have my doubts about either candidate but they are both talking about change, Obama just has a bigger list.

Father of former Olympian killed in Beijing

The article below proclaims that Shanghai and Beijing are still safer than most cities their same size. It goes on to state that punishments for crimes against foreigners are heavier than crimes against other Chinese and that they are not allowed to own guns.

First, it obviously did not matter that this man didn't own a gun... he was still successful in killing another human being. If someone wants to commit a crime bad enough, he will find a way even if it means pulling a spoon out of his kitchen drawer.

Second, if you really want to make a big statement in China it sounds like your biggest opportunity would be to kill a foreigner. Did this man realize these victims were American? Only an investigation will tell (and I hope they will run a full investigation and not just take the word of a few officials). Here's a picture of their daughter (who happened to be with them at the time of attack but luckily not injured). She certainly doesn't look to be a citizen of China, especially with the United States flag on her top.

So what was the point of this attack? Did the man know he was attacking Americans... specifically a family with ties to the Olympics? Was it random... was he plotting to bring attention to his cause (whatever that may be)?

The tower where this murder took place is called The Drum Tower and it is an ancient structure that drummers used to inform citizens of the time. Is it time for China to let their people live as they choose? Is it time for China's secrets to come out? Is it time for the Chinese citizens to stand up and say they're mad as hell? Or was this guy just a nut job who happened to have a knife coincidentally near American citizens who coincidentally were in China for the Olympics? I have a hard time believing that scenario.

Obama - Parenting Marxist Style

In this little girl's eyes... there is no evil or terrorism in the world and yet Obama felt the need to take this opportunity to reach out to the adults in the audience to find new supporters. He insists he wants America to be better, stronger, unified, kinder, prosperous and more tolerant... but that means nothing to a 7 year old child.

The man lost his focus on the little girl and went out to find new voters. He should have looked her in the eye and told her that he loves his country (if he doesn't-then he should not run for President) but that we need to work on a few things to make it even greater. There was no need to address the adults, there was no need to talk so far above her head that she was lost, confused and disappointed that she even asked him a question. How many counselors will she need after this idiots audacity?

He didn't have to make America sound like heaven on Earth but at least be proud of the country you are trying to lead. I won't vote for anyone who doesn't love our country. Obama wants to change it and bring socialism to us. I don't want to live in a socialist country otherwise I would move.

And I certainly won't vote for anyone who uses a child's question to further his agenda while leaving her scratching her head and looking around wondering what things need to change or go away from her small world. The mind of a child does not comprehend the way an adults mind does.

I feel sorry for his children.

Obama - Dreams from My Father

4:10 into the video: "The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity - she doesn't. But she is a typical white person who... if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know there's a reaction in her that's been bred into our experiences that don't go away, and that sometimes come out in the wrong way." Barack Obama

I would NEVER make a statement about another person and say "she's a typical black person" or "he's a typical mexican" or "she's a typical Italian". And if I did... especially using certain adjectives, I would be called a racist. I call it the way it is... if I can't say these things without being called a racist... then that rule applies to everyone else.

... Another NEW POST just below ...

And the Media Goes Crazy

What??? How can this be... how can they say such things about Barack "super-star" Obama? Can it be that those in the press (or at least two of them) are seeing Mr. Flip-Flop, Spin-Master for what he is... an opportunist?

Let us start here: THE SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE - Whoa... an article from the heart of Liberal Country. Well... the article's author tosses in a little advice at the end but other than that... it seems like an article written with tears and broken fingers.

Excerpt... ah hell... lets add the whole article:
[Sen. Barack Obama's energy policy is offering more flip flops than a Lake Tahoe souvenir stand.

First the presumptive Democratic nominee opposes offshore oil drilling, but, wait, now he doesn't. Second, he never suggested dipping into national petroleum reserves, and now he wants to open the spigot.

And remember how he hooted at suspending federal gas taxes as a primary-season stunt? Now, he wants $1,000 rebate checks mailed out to families, paid by a windfall profits tax on the oil industry that was tried and dumped in the 1980s.

The crushing power of $4-a-gallon gas lies behind these changes along with polls showing his modest lead is dwindling. Other polls, showing a slim majority of the country now favors coastal drilling, have made it easier to switch positions with little pain.

But the ideas that Obama is now embracing come loaded with flaws and offer the driving public only momentary relief at best.

Opening up new coastal areas for drilling will take five years or more before these supplies dent pump prices. And the petroleum reserve is a form of disaster insurance that the nation draws on in a true crisis, not a presidential campaign.

Obama remains committed to a long-term energy plan that would wean the nation off its oil addiction and create new sources of power. It's the right direction, but the Illinois senator will never get there if he keeps making detours to score.]

More flip flops than a Lake Tahoe souvenir stand... MWAHAHAHAHA!

And lets finish here: NEW YORK POST - Two more reversals... surprise, surprise. The big point of this article?
"What does Obama stand for, besides whatever is popular at the moment."

The article (shown below) also says that McCain is RIGHT ABOUT SOMETHING!! Wow... is this Bizarro World? And I agree... at some point Obama is going to have to declare what he stands for and pick a policy to stick with rather than change his mind every time he hears another poll. If President Bush listened to the polls, not only would he be insane but we would have pulled our troops, sent them back, pulled them, sent them back, pulled them... it's the song that never ends!

Excerpt... ah hell... lets add the whole article again:

[One more week, one more Barack Obama reversal on a key issue.

Actually, make that two reversals.

The Democratic presidential hopeful says he's now open to easing the offshore-drilling ban, and he wants to tap the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

What a difference a few polls make, no?

Until recently, Obama was adamantly against offshore drilling and tapping the SPR.

Why the shift? Because voters are longing for relief from $4 gas and he thinks his new views will win them over.

So much for principles.

To be fair, John McCain has also shifted his views to support offshore drilling. But McCain isn't trying to have it both ways: When prices soared, he did his 180 because the facts had changed.

Obama, by contrast, still opposes drilling - but says he'll back it if it leads to a deal on legislation pushing fuel-efficient cars and alternative energy.

Right. That might be believable if he hadn't also made popular turnabouts on many other issues, like NAFTA, the terror-monitoring bill and talking to Iran.

Obama's new view on drilling, of course, is welcome; environmental concerns pale next to the need for more oil.

His switch on SPR oil, on the other hand, is not. The reserve is meant for national emergencies, not as a tool to ease prices - as even he once noted: "The reserve should only be used in the event of an emergency," he said, not "to provide a small, short-term decrease in gas prices."

And he's U-turning on yet a third oil issue: He wants a windfall-profits tax on oil companies, even as he voted to give them breaks in '05. McCain voted against the breaks but is against hikes now.

McCain's right on this, too: If you want more domestic oil, why make it more costly for those trying to produce it?

But here's the more important question: What does Obama stand for, besides whatever's popular at the moment?

Yes, his campaign slogan touts "change." But at some point, he's going to have to pick a policy and stick with it.]

So... does this mean the media is seeing the writing on the wall and is also flip-flopping... or are there actually men and women out there who have heard enough garbage and realize the truth of things? Or... maybe they just see that their new favorite candidate isn't going to turn out to be "THE ONE" and they are jumping ship like a flea on a bathing dog. Opportunists, the lot of them.

Just SAY NO to Obama

Barack Obama refuses to honor our flag by NOT displaying it with pride and by keeping his hand from his heart during the national anthem. He claims that Middle America clings to their guns and to their religion. Obama is embarrassed by America... embarrassed that Americans speak English and not French or German or Spanish or... the list goes on.

This man wants a nation divided into small countries... weakened... divided... broken. He wants to create a train wreck so horrendous that we can't help but turn to our government for aid. I can't stand fear-mongers... but this man and those who raise him above the clouds will lead us into Socialist slavery. Slavery is illegal in our country... last time I checked.

May we each take the moment necessary out of this day and any day we feel the need to remember those who have gone before us in defense of our freedoms. Without them... we would not be "here"... we would be in chains. ~Bug~
