The Obama Speech Transcript: Berlin

The following are different web locations of Obama's speech. I have not read through each one of them to check for differences, however I did notice that there was a different in the last paragraph from one site to another. Please feel free to compare the speeches as much as you like... I'm content to just read one. :o)

Last sentence of Obama's speech (Glenn Beck's Site):

[People of Berlin -- and people of the world -- the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long. But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. Let us build on our common history, and seize our common destiny, and once again engage in that noble struggle to bring justice and peace to our world.]

Or maybe this is the last sentence (The Huffington Post Site):

[People of Berlin - and people of the world - the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long. But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. With an eye toward the future, with resolve in our hearts, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again.]

These guys agree with Huffington The New York Times:

[People of Berlin – and people of the world – the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long. But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. With an eye toward the future, with resolve in our hearts, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again.]

Again... this one matches the two previous Fox News:

[People of Berlin and people of the world, the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long. But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. With an eye towards the future, with resolve in our heart, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again.]

I wonder why Glenn Beck's is so different than all of the others... he did mention there was at least one thing that was on the original script that Obama did not say word-for-word. I wonder if this was another area where he made a last minute change.

May we each take the moment necessary out of this day and any day we feel the need to remember those who have gone before us in defense of our freedoms. Without them... we would not be "here"... we would be in chains. ~Bug~
