Al Gorem and his precious ring of global warming

I cleared my throat one day while saying "Al Gore" during a discussion of the non-"it's all my fault the earth is warming up and if I don't give up everything, we're all going to die in one million years" global warming we're experiencing and it sounded much like "Golem... golem... hack, cough... golem?" So I found a ring of fire and a gruesome picture of Al Gore and put them together (with amature abilities, obviously and making sure to put my stamp of embarrassed acknowlegement on it) to come up with...

"My preeeeeciouuuus ring of of global warming. I want everyone to know about it and covet it but I won't let them get too close or they may realize the truth. It's just a Cracker Jack ring I got when I was twelve years old. Finally after all these years I can get people to do what I say and not what I do... wishing upon falling stars really does work. Hey... maybe I can convince people the end is near because of falling stars... yeah... that's the ticket."

No power like the power of freedom...

President George W. Bush in Kansas City on August 22nd, 2007 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars national convention at the Kansas City Convention and Entertainment Center. This is a transcript of the entire speech... worth reading.

A small portion of the speech is below... go here for the entire speech.

That generation of Americans taught the tyrants a telling lesson: There is no power like the power of freedom and no soldier as strong as a soldier who fights for a free future for his children. (Applause.) And when America’s work on the battlefield was done, the victorious children of democracy would help our defeated enemies rebuild, and bring the taste of freedom to millions.

We can do the same for the Middle East. Today the violent Islamic extremists who fight us in Iraq are as certain of their cause as the Nazis, or the Imperial Japanese, or the Soviet communists were of theirs. They are destined for the same fate. (Applause.)

"The United States should not have a military" Gerardo Sandoval

This man honestly believes that the United States of America SHOULD NOT have a military! He wants to know what good the military has done for us during the last 5 years.

This video of Hannity and Colmes interviewing San Francisco Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval really brings out the colors of not only Sandoval but also Colmes. Colmes jumps in towards the middle to clarify Gerardo's statement becoming visibly and verbally distressed and filled with disbelief that this man could say that America should not have a military.

Apparently, per Sandoval, we can use cops and the coast guard to defend America and in a thousand years we won't need a military.

I tell you what... if this man gets his way, not only will we not have a military, we'll be on our knees begging for our lives and completely oblivious to what freedom use to be... it probably won't even be a word.

If we don't have a military, we can't defend ourselves against our enemies... and we do have enemies. Can you imagine the boats and planes filled with terrorists coming into America to take over? It would happen the day after we retired our military and the day after that we would no longer be free to walk to the grocery store or drive across town or feel safe going to work.

This man needs to be dismissed from his post and sent to a country that doesn't care about freedom and individual rights. He clearly doesn't believe in individual rights... look what he's done to Michael Savage.

Savage Nation striking back

Links regarding Michael Savage...

"For the record, I do not agree with comments allegedly made by Mr. Savage, but the First Amendment gives him the right to make those comments," Jew said.

What has earned Sandoval his yellow stripes is his introduction of a government resolution condemning radio talk show host Michael Savage for what Sandoval calls "defamatory language . . . against immigrants."

One of the nation's top civil rights attorneys has offered his assistance in suing a San Francisco city supervisor who attacked nationally syndicated radio talk-show host Michael Savage for his tough stance against illegal immigration.

When you stand up to Sandoval, you are standing up not only for your free speech but even for the free speech of those hunger strike students with whom you so fundamentally disagree. If they can silence you I guarantee that those four students will be next ... and then me.

If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State... in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States... They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

In what many are taking as an anti-Semitic slap, newly elected Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval got up the other night and urged San Franciscans upset over business tycoons suing the city to picket "at their houses in Tiburon and at their bar mitzvahs."

Michael Savage attacked by San Fran Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval

And something that happened this last week that just... well, it makes me angry.

Seems the city of San Fransisco decided to attack Michael Savage's 1st amendment rights. Shame, shame!!

San Francisco Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval introduced a resolution condemning Michael saying he used "defamatory language... against immigrants.”

Michael Savage is a talk show host with a lot to say... he is not a racist nor does he cause others to be racist. He made comments based on what was happening in the news and put "it out there" without fluffing his words to be careful not to offend someone.

In today's world... anything a person says will offend someone, somewhere. Just because this Supervisor doesn't like the message Mr. Savage is stating doesn't give him a right to introduce a resolution against him and encourage people to rally against him in front of his place of work. This guy is attacking an American citizen who has committed no crime.

He claims that Michael is 'symbolic of hatred and racism'... basically this idiot is saying he will stop another man's opinion from being heard by other people by threatening legal action against him. This is against everything America is for... free speech... free will and the ability to hear what you want.

This is not a communist country... or a socialist country. This is the United States of America.

I heard a talk show just today wherein the host was spouting on and on about how horrible capitalism is and how the big companies are only in business to make profit (duh) and how the little guy should rise against them to protest and basically make it so everyone gets paid the same wage while businesses earn little to encourage them to stay open.

That is a communist society and I didn't like the message one bit... but I won't take legal action against him because I feel he's harming our society (which he is), nor will I encourage others to harm him or do anything to prevent him from his 1st amendment rights. I didn't like his message and I felt he could be causing riots in the streets with his "get rid of the big businesses and hate those in charge" attitude. The fact is... this man should just shut up... but it's his right to be stupid and it's my right to think he is.

Letter from Savage's lawyer mentioning important facts!!

Politics never take a vacation...

... even though I did... check out the vaca pics in the posts below!!

So I checked out David's blog once I returned from my vacation and noticed the world just kept on a turning and wigg'n out while I was away. I checked my bank account while I was gone... posted a few vacation pictures and checked email... but avoided all news!

What did I miss? Lets see... here are five events that happened or were talked about while I was gone over on DAVID'S SITE.

1. Gwen Stefani Succumbs To Radical Islam - That's right... she's going to tone down her outfits during her concert in Malaysia because it's offensive to locals. Can you imagine how many times she would have to tone it down if she actually listened to the hard-core Christians in America who won't let their kids go to a concert HERE because of her outfits? So what's so special about THEM that she can't do for US??

2. Democrats Vote To Expand FISA Law - Huh??? I thought they were WAY against this type of thing and wanted to bring charges against Bush for "invading the privacy of our citizens". Seems they lie just to get into power.

3. My own headline... BUSH TO BLAME FOR GLOBAL WARMING WHICH HAS CAUSED BRIDGE AND TUNNEL TO COLLAPSE - HE SHOULD BE IMPEACHED, OF COURSE. Give me a break... the fact that these things happened is not due to global warming nor is it the president's fault. Look to the city and the county and the companies who obviously DIDN'T do their job well enough.

4. Mike Gravel says, "The Spartans trained their people to be homosexual." - Wow... that makes a lot of sense. Here's my comment to David's post along with his comment back to me.

Do I just not have imagination enough to understand WHY anyone would want to train someone else to be homosexual? Do they go around training people to be hetrosexual? It doesn't make much sense to me. And why would you want to train military might to long for the next military might fighting next to you? Wouldn't it make more sense to make sure your men are NOT homosexual? Wouldn't being homosexual and spending hours/days/weeks/months/years together cause problems such as LOSING A WAR because your men are banging each other in the background... or longing for each other on the battlefield... or dreaming of each other when they are apart and therefore not able to pay attention to their duties. I don't know... maybe I am just an idiot... maybe a man longing for a man is better than a man longing for a woman. Maybe wanting the guy next to you is better than fighting with a clear mind, strong conviction and the desire to go home and be with the person you left behind.

Oh Bug, you are not an idiot. Gravel is the idiot, big time. Like I wrote - for decaded the Left has been telling us that homosexuality and - by default then - heterosexuality is something we are born with. Then Gravel talks out of his butt saying "the Spartans trained their people to be homosexual." Gravel is an idiot. Thanks for visiting and commenting Bug - as always.

5. NASA Lied About Global Warming - Of course they did. Turns out the hottest year was 1934, not 1998. OH CRAP... DOES THAT MEAN WE'RE HEADING INTO THE NEXT ICE AGE? So what do we need to give up in order to avoid that catastrophe??

The amazing, the wonderful, the extraordinary, the omnipotent... Ellie Bellie. Applause necessary!

Here is what you've all been waiting for... the lastest in Ellie pictures. Admit it... you've been waiting!
I love how her ear flops over and she doesn't even notice

And how she turns her head to one side when she's listening

Or how she stares at me wondering if I'll always be this crazy

And then there are those moments when I wonder
where my baby has gone - she grows so fast

And of course we can't forget the moments of hysteria!!

Ellie is now FIVE months old and it's so amazing watching how fast she grows in comparison to my son who is still growing after all these years. I keep wanting her to slow down because soon she'll be full sized and I'll wonder what it was like holding her in my lap.

I'm glad we got her... she's precious. Ooooo... my precious...
May we each take the moment necessary out of this day and any day we feel the need to remember those who have gone before us in defense of our freedoms. Without them... we would not be "here"... we would be in chains. ~Bug~
