Banned Pres. Bush Interview

I don't know for sure if this video was actually banned from American television. It's meant to be a negative video (as I'm sure that was the intention of the person who posted it) because it shows Bush as arrogant and a bit pushy.

I have thought about this a lot and have come to the conclusion that this is one of his more truthful interviews. He cuts the lady off a few times to request to be allowed to finish his answer because she's too impatient to actually let him answer without interjecting.

I can sense why people would not like the interview and even conclude that our president is very "I" oriented... but truth be told this whole "we can't be proud of what we've done because people will think we're arrogant assholes" is a bunch of crap.

Be proud of what you have done... stand up and say "I did this and I'm glad I did this and because I did it, this is what has happened". Don't stand in some corner sniveling that you think you did okay... be proud or admit your shortcomings.

There were tons of responses below this video the day I found it that were saying Bush was a twat, a fuck up and just bullshit... and that was just in the more recent 9-10 comments.

Why are people so hateful and lash out like that... this makes me think liberals are irrational and have no respect for other's opinions, feelings or constitutional rights. They would disagree... but the drawing has been painted by them... the artwork is already on display.

They vs. Them ~ the truth at last

I find the laundromat rather soothing at times. I suppose it could partly be because I don't have to go...

The last time I went was when I first moved here and didn't own a washer/dryer yet. I found a laundromat located near a bar, a car wash and some old rundown shops that were long since closed down. They had an "arcade" (if you can call it that) in the laundromat that was scattered between corners and hallways and other odd places that had the oldest most unpopular games I had ever seen... and half of them were either turned off, broken down or the screen was hazy.

I sat in a room with the dryers and listened to the constant tumbling along with something on the TV that I don't think I was even listening to. I wonder if that's how they brainwash people... stick people in a room full of dryers until relaxation takes over.

Who are "they" anyway... are they conspiring with "them" or are they and them in direct competition with each other.

I looked up "them" on Thesaurus.com, and this is what I found -
Main Entry: establishment
Definition: bureaucracy
Synonyms: Old Guard*, authority, city hall*, conservatives, diehards*, established order, ruling class, the Man, the system*, them, they

So does that mean that "they" are conservative diehards? And are "they" the Right? And if so, what would you call the "left"? Careful... this is a family site. Okay... not really.

Hmmm... makes me wonder who owns Thesaurus.com. Perhaps someone from the left owns it and wants us to think the right are "they" that are bad? I don't know... when I try to "listen" to a pronunciation I have to pay a yearly subscription cost of $19.95. I guess that tells me that whoever owns it has a capitalistic view point (the right?). Are "they" the ones who are portraying themselves as "the Man" while attempting to convince people that "they" are actually not who "they" are but are instead actually "them"?

Okay... I'm back to being confused.

Question Mark

Personally, I think "they" and "them" are different organizations out to confuse the hell out of people (it's working) in order to gain control of everything while continually keeping people at each others throats so we won't notice what's really happening.

What's really happening?

Bug's Theory

Pee Wee Herman and Barbara Streisand (also known as "they) and Mr T and the Unknown Comic (also known as "them") are trying to take over the world. There's a suspicion that Mr T is still pretty pissed over the whole "losing to Rocky" thing. Pee Wee still can't get away from the "getting caught playing with himself in a movie theatre" jokes; Barbara's anus keeps telling her what to do; and the Unknown Comic is just glad to be mentioned on some one's blog. It's assumed that the leader of this diabolical quartet is non other than Barbara's anus.

You think I'm joking, don't ya. Well, just you wait and see... one day we'll all be bowing to the Anus Lords and you'll be thinking "if only I had listened to Bug".

Anus Lords... sounds like an adult film gone horribly wrong. Ewwww... I feel ill now.

Al Gorem (cough) - His PRECIOUS Hypocrisy

David Drake: Junior Gore's Menu Hypocrisy

Al Gorem (said while clearing the throat)... the man has no business telling anyone what they should be doing for the environment. He has the "do as I say... not as I do" syndrome and I'm afraid it may be contagious.

Perhaps his ideas are just suggestions?? Maybe he won't try to MAKE people do things they don't want to do?? Maybe I'll win the lottery tomorrow and never have to work again??

Personally... I don't really care what type of fish... beef... bird... or pig the man ate. But I do care if he turns around and tells me I can't do the same or tries to make me feel guilty.

Okay... has he told us we can't eat certain foods? I don't know. But he does say we shouldn't use certain fuels, etc. and yet he does far worse than many.

Hypocrisy and lies... two deadly sins in my book. Don't lie to me and don't make me feel guilty for crap you're doing yourself.

How to get rid of the past - Deny it!

What is going on?

What fantasy world are people living in?

How foolish and gullible do these crazy nut cases think people are?

We have people over here saying that the Holocaust didn't happen... that Hitler wasn't the monster he truly was. That... what?... someone MADE IT UP?? Do they think people actually stopped eating for weeks, took off their clothes and lay around in the dirt and on top of each other to... what?... create horrible pictures so our country would go to war? That makes a ton of sense... NOT!

Then we have people over there (such as John Kerry) claiming that what happened in Vietnam didn't actually happen. In this quote, Kerry almost makes it sound as if those who were held against their will in the reeducation camps should be thankful because they are "thriving" in today's society.
KERRY: ... with respect to boat people and killing, everybody predicted a massive bloodbath in Vietnam. There was not a massive bloodbath in Vietnam. There were reeducation camps, and they weren't pretty and, you know, nobody, you know, likes that kind of outcome. But on the other hand, I've met lot of people today who were in those education camps, who are thriving in the Vietnam of today.

WTF? So let me get this straight... 1) no blood baths 2) reeducation camps make better citizens. Just checking.

"Oh I just want to thank my captures for educating me and making my life better!"

Are you kidding?

Sigh... just me feeling the heat of today's world. How can a person (or a country) turn the other cheek if everywhere they turn to, someone new and less important (with a bigger chip) is slapping them.

Everyone wants to be in the spotlight... even us bloggers.

Congressman KeitHitler (see how he likes it)

Quote by Congressman Keith Ellison which is found readily on the web:

"It's almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that… after the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted…."I'm not saying [Sept. 11] was a [U.S.] plan, or anything like that, because, you know, that's how they put you in the nut-ball box — dismiss you."

Congressman Ellison Carries the Islamists’ Water
Quote from above article: Visit the site for the entire message
Until so-called Muslim leaders like Congressman Ellison begin to understand the linkage between political Islam and the radicalization of youth toward terrorism and radical Islamism, we will make no headway in this global war. Our most important tools in deprogramming estranged youth are prominent Muslim leaders ready to counter political Islam and Wahhabism. Cong. Ellison has shown neither the desire nor the inclination to do such a thing. I have yet to see Congressman Ellison on record acknowledging that this is not a crime problem, but rather a global conflict of ideologies between militant Islamism and western pluralism (Americanism)...

... Cong. Ellison is too busy pandering to Atheists groups who would have virtually no rights to become legislators or write laws under a state based on governmental sharia. He squanders his position to pander to Muslim youth, Islamists, and others who believe the Al Jazeera line. He should actually be leading the national Muslim activist community to separate religion and politics in Islam and turn off the political spigot which feeds radical Islam.

Most moral individuals would agree that under Hitler’s Germany, German citizens who fought directly against Adolf Hitler and his Third Reich for their crimes against humanity were heroes, not traitors. It should not be too far removed for Congressman Ellison to comprehend that a young impressionable Muslim mind with violent tendencies may hear the words which Ellison spoke on July 8 and hear his disgraceful and irresponsible comparison of the Bush administration and our military to Hitler’s Germany and feel morally empowered to act upon that...

CBS: Congressman admits 9/11 error
Quote from above article: Visit the site for the entire message
"In hindsight, I wouldn't have used that reference point," Ellison told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Tuesday. "It was probably inappropriate to use that example, because it's a unique historical event, without really any clear parallels."

Ellison said he remains harshly critical of the Bush administration.

"I believe that they have exploited the fears that grew from 9/11, in order to pass legislation and even start wars they could have never gotten away with but for that tragedy," he said.

Ellison said he had gotten a call Tuesday afternoon from the Anti-Defamation League, an international group that opposes anti-Semitism, regarding the Hitler comparison.

"They told me they understood the point I was trying to make, but they didn't think it was the right way to use that historical example, because they thought any sort of comparison to the modern world we live in in some way diminishes the horror of the Nazi era," Ellison said. "I told them I feel they're right."

The ADL released a statement Tuesday calling on Ellison to apologize for his comments. The group's national director, Abraham H. Foxman, called the comparison "outrageous and offensive to all Americans."

"Whatever his views may be on the administration's response to 9/11 and the conduct of the war on terrorism, likening it to Hitler's rise to power and Nazism is odious and demeans the victims of 9/11 and the brave American men and women engaged in the war on terror," Foxman said. "Furthermore, it demonstrates a profound lack of understanding about the horrors that Hitler and his Nazi regime perpetrated."

It seems to me, that in his back peddling he apologized in one breath and then said he still believes what he originally said (comparison to Hitler) to be true in the next breath (ie the quote above that I have highlighted in red).

You can't have it both ways Keith... either you think he's like Hitler or you don't.

I'm glad so many stood up and said "you can't compare these two events". There are indeed people out there listening to what is being said by every side of every possible argument. It's like the child who is told not to touch something at a museum and he tries to see how close he can get before he gets into trouble.

Stop sticking your fingers out to touch things just to see if you can get away with it.

On the other hand, I'm not saying to never say or try anything if you feel a passion for it... but this is somehow different. People are saying things to lead to an agenda that many people don't favor just to see if anyone will notice and yell "NO... we won't go for it". So many of us are silent because we just want it to go away... we just want those in charge to actually give a damn about the general public in America and not their own rise to obscene power.

Now look what's happened... I've tangented in my own blog.

eNews from Senator Larry Craig

Here's the latest eNews I received from my state's Senator. I have highlighted what I thought was the most interesting. Note how he tells us democrats wanted to deny workers the freedom to vote in secret.

Focus on Freedom

As I watched the Fourth of July celebrations across the State, I was reminded of how much we prize our independence. My own Senate Mission Statement includes personal pledges to work for freedom and liberty. With Congress currently debating the Department of Defense Authorization Bill, the bill that funds the armed forces that help keep us free, and on the heels of Independence Day, I wanted to give you a status report on the ongoing fight for freedom.

The Senate recessed for the Fourth of July after the Democratic leadership forced a vote on denying workers the freedom to vote in secret about the organization of a union. That's right—they attempted to pass legislation that would have allowed employers and union representatives to monitor and record how each employee voted for union membership. I was proud to stand with the vast majority of workers in opposing this bill, which was ultimately defeated.

Democrats in Congress now propose to deny our freedom of expression by reviving an artifact of the Red Scare, the so-called "Fairness Doctrine." Bitter over the success of conservative radio, they hope to use government censors to force radio stations and other media outlets to give equal time to opposing views.

The fight for freedom doesn't stop with our civil liberties. Democrats hope to curtail our economic freedoms by raising taxes—including a tax on death itself. I aim to free us from the complication and unnecessary burdens of our tax system with a flat tax.

Finally, the fight for freedom in Iraq goes on—and frames the debate over the Department of Defense Authorization bill. As Abraham Lincoln once wrote, "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves". As we await the results of the surge in Iraq, I maintain that success is possible. In the meantime, I will not deny the Iraqis their chance at freedom—though I cannot force them to embrace it.

Wow... I really found this straight forward and right to the point.

This is an email I received today called Memorial. I am not including the pictures as they didn't really make or break the message of the email.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Edmund Burke

In Memorial

Recently this week, UK removed The Holocaust from its school
curriculum because it "offended" the Moslem population which
claims it never occurred. This is a frightening portent of the fear that is
gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it.

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended.

This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the

six million Jews,
20 million Russians,
10 million Christians
and 1,900 Catholic priests

who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and
humiliated with the German and Russia peoples looking the other way!

Now, more than ever, with Iran , among others, claiming the Holocaust
to be "a myth," it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets
This e-mail is intended to reach 40 million people worldwide!

Volume 2, Issue 3

More than likely, this is a form letter sent out to everyone who sent a letter or email to my State Senator, but I'm glad to get the response. Included is information I didn't know because I just can't spend 29 hours a day keeping track of what's going on... nor would I want to.

Thank you for contacting me regarding immigration reform. I appreciated hearing from you and apologize for the delay in my response.

On June 28, 2007, the Senate failed to obtain the 60 votes necessary to cut off debate on the comprehensive immigration reform bill, S. 1639. That halted any likely future progress on this legislation for the duration of the 110th Congress.

Although S. 1639 was by no means a perfect bill, it was a vast improvement over previous reform measures. The American people demanded that certain provisions be included, and they were. These demands included triggers requiring successful installation of border security measures before other programs come into effect, English language requirements, employee verification systems, and provisions that would force illegal immigrants to leave the country and submit an application before achieving permanent legal residency. In addition, the bill would have required that currently undocumented individuals seeking temporary legal status maintain employment, pass a background check, pay fines and their back taxes, and forego any Social Security benefits tied to payments they made into the system while working illegally. Americans were, and still are, adamantly in support of these policies, as am I.

Despite the inclusion of these popular provisions, the vote in the Senate demonstrated that many Americans do not trust the federal government to enforce these ambitious programs. In the end, that is probably what brought the bill down.

Unfortunately, because of this outcome, no problems have been solved, and the dysfunctional status quo remains. Communities in Idaho, and across the country, will still face the problem of undocumented workers who take advantage of our broken legal immigration system. Idahoans sent me to Congress to solve problems, which is why I voted to limit debate on the bill. Had sixty votes been cast for cloture, the Senate would have voted on several more amendments, including additional measures to strengthen border security, before a final up-or-down vote on passage of S. 1639.

Despite the outcome, I remain open to other proposals to solve the problems of illegal immigration and an outdated, flawed legal immigration system. In particular, I will use my position on the Appropriations Committee to fund strong border enforcement measures, as I have done in the past. I will also continue to search for a solution to the serious labor shortages plaguing the U.S. agricultural community.

My first priority is, and will always be, the hard-working men and women of Idaho and their families. Protecting our homeland security and the safety of our people is the fundamental responsibility of the government, and I will continue to support policies that protect and benefit American citizens, treat immigrants fairly, and preserve our economy, resources and national security.

I kept an online floor journal during the final debate on the bill to let folks know my reasoning behind each vote. You can view the journal at http://craig.senate.gov/journal_immigration.cfm. If you have specific questions about these or any of my other votes on the immigration proposal, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you again for contacting me.

The Day of Operation America Rising

I went to my state's version of Operation America Rising. There weren't as many people as we hoped would be there but since it went from 11am until 5pm, people came and went as they pleased. I was there from about noon until 2pm... and then it was just too hot for me to stay longer.

I spoke with a Marines recruiter for my son and one of them will actually be visiting his high school every Thursday this coming year. I joked by saying at least they're still welcome in the high schools (opposed to the colleges) and they said they're even losing the ability to go there in some cases. In my opinion (humble though it may be), the more information you keep from people regarding the military, the less people who will volunteer and the more likely of a draft returning to our country. That's just plain stupid because volunteers fight more vigorously and with more conviction than anyone who's forced to go!!

Here are all the pictures I took. There were flags representing Desert Storm, the Vietnam Vets, the Army, POWs and many others. It was quite colorful!! :o)

I recently cancelled my cable so I don't know how much news coverage it will end up getting. Channel 7 was a sponsor, so I'm assuming it will get some mention.

Hilary Clinton - No Thanks

I was looking around the web for a few "NO to Hilary" pictures and came across quite a few sites. I was surprised.

Clinton Body Count - A list of people who died who had a connection to the Clintons. I was surprised by the large amount, but now have a way of arguing against those who say noone died when Clinton was in office.

I like this site... No Hilary Clinton, where I found the funnies video about the "Hilary Man".

As for the video below... do you think that's why she's smiling? And if so... what do we think of it? Do we think she cares for our people and our country? I believe she only wants to promote herself higher and higher until she's the king of the United States (and no... that wasn't a type-o).

Operation America Rising

I happened to be out and about today and the store I was visiting was next to the local military recruiting office. They were closed of course, since it's the 4th, and on their door was a flyer for Operation America Rising.
"Operation America Rising" Will take place on 7-7-07 all over America. On that momentous day, there will be prominent speakers and entertainers. Children and adults will be gathered together saluting America's finest. This national salute to our troops will be a gleaming observance of America's patriotism. People of all ages will show our troops that we are behind them. You can donate to this wonderful event on this site by volunteering or contributing.

This was the first time I had heard about this. Mind you, I don't watch tv much and my only news is from on-line or the radio. I do hear about things each day, but this one escaped my knowledge. Am I just out of touch or has it truly NOT seen much news coverage?

I looked up my state and sure enough we're having a big rally in down town. It's not actually at the capital but it's at the Veterans Memorial Park. Some of the states don't seem to be participting while others don't seem to have much information listed.

Will this really be as big as they hope? I plan on going... at this point. I must because I feel that my voice is just a whisper that isn't heard much at all. In order to say "this is what I feel", I must speak louder and go where others go to make myself heard.

Happy USA Day ~ aka Greatest Country in the World Day

David Drake: Happy Independence Day

What the July Fourth Means to Me ~ by Ronald Reagan (link was found on David's site)

I truly liked Ronald... he was a great father figure to me. At the end of this quote there is another quote by Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari speaking of the price of liberty. Lets hope he's right.

I have always loved this picture. While looking for pictures of the American Flag, I came across this website: http://www.america911.com/. It has many pictures from the 911 attack... but the page that made me cry was this one; Heaven 911.

The Lyrics to this song are below and the bold words are that of a little girl missing her father. I listened... and read... and cried. I guess I'm getting sentimental in my "almost" old age. Follow the link to listen to the song.

Heaven 911

It's been a year daddy
I really really miss you
Mommy says you're safe now
In a beautiful place called heaven

Oh I'm thinking about our younger years

We had your favorite dinner tonight

There was only you and me

I ate it all up

We were young and wild and free

Even though I don't like carrots

Now nothing can take you away from me

I learned how to swim this summer

We've been down that road before

I can even open my eyes

But that's over now

While I'm under water

You keep me coming back for more

Can't you see me?

Baby you're all that I want
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven

I started kindergarten this year

Love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven

I carry a picture of us In my Blue's Clues lunchbox

Oh once in your life you find someone

You are the greatest daddy

Who will turn your world around
Pick you up when you're feeling down
Now nothing can change
what you mean to me

I can swing on the swing by myself

There's a lot that I could say
But just hold me now

Even though I miss you pushing me

Cause our love will light the way

Can't you see me?

Baby you're all that I want
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven

I miss how you used to tickle me

And love is all that I need

Tickle my belly

And I found it there in your heart

My belly hurts

It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven

I try not to cry

I've been waiting for so long

Mommy says it's okay

For something to arrive
For love to come along

I know you don't like it when I cry

Now our dreams are coming true
Through the good times and the bad

You never wanted me to be sad

I'll be standing there by you

I try Daddy but it hurts

Baby you're all that I want

Is it true you're not coming home?

When you're lying here in my arms

Maybe someday

I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven

I can visit you in heaven, okay?

And love is all that I need
And I've found it there in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven

It's time for me to go bed now
I sleep with the light on
Just in case you come home
And kiss me good night

I love you so much

I miss you Daddy

The $50 Presidential Bet

My boyfriend and I have a bet. He thinks H.C. will be the next president and we'll all have to get use to calling her "madam president". He does not favor her and does not want her to be president... he just thinks people will be fooled, and I quote, "we'll have yet another First Lady Clinton". Uh... that was referring to Bill, in case you didn't catch it.

I am being the optimist and saying she will not be the next president. Sigh...

I really don't know. I do think that many people will vote democrat just so they don't have to vote republican.

The two parties are so much different than I remember when Ronald Reagan was president. I remember my step-dad claiming he voted democrat because they were for the "little guy". They aren't like that now. They try to pretend they are by pointing fingers at the republicans in an attempt to take the eyes off themselves. They want everyone to have the right to do anything they want so long as it doesn't interfere with the underlying desires of that party.

What would they do if green peace had to fight a gay black man who wanted to marry an illegal immigrant while standing on the only land where an endangered animal or plant lived... and one of them was wearing a shirt that said "Global Warming is Bullshit" and the other said "Down with Bush". I suppose the guy could be making a sexual preference comment, but we'll assume it's talking about our president.

Which right would they go against in order to gain control so that everyone lined up with what they wanted?

The republicans, I thought, were to help keep America strong in its footing in the world. Keep us powerful and keep our enemies at bay. They are the rational party... the party that doesn't find another thing to change just to keep everyone guessing. They are the party for consistency. Now they just bow to the desires of the democrats because they fear the American people want what he democrats offer.

Well, hello! Of course many Americans want what they offer... they offer EVERYTHING with the option of everything changing tomorrow to suit the fact we have to add something else to the pot.

It's insane.
May we each take the moment necessary out of this day and any day we feel the need to remember those who have gone before us in defense of our freedoms. Without them... we would not be "here"... we would be in chains. ~Bug~
